“Uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed” Psalm 82:3
We believe it is our responsibility as Jesus followers to care for those around us. At this particular time, as we face the Covid-19 crisis, there many opportunities to meet people’s needs.
Proverbs 14:31 says “When you’re kind to the poor you honour God” – what powerful words!
Our Social Action department seeks to practically share the love of Jesus, to offer hope to those facing difficulties, to show dignity to every person we come into contact with and to provide or point people towards ongoing support.

Current projects

10th December
Being homeless is difficult enough, but the challenge of the winter months can be severe.
On Socks Sunday we will be collecting new pairs of socks (ideally thick or thermal) to donate to several local initiatives who are providing for the homeless at this time.

Bring your newly purchased socks (as many as you can) to our Sunday services on the 10th of December!

Love the Borough is our initiative to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a practical way.
From the 9th-11th June, the church engaged in several different projects to help, bless and transform our local community.

Store City is our food bank that is here to help people in our community who are in need. We take referrals from local agencies and try to do as much as we can to provide both the necessary food required and ongoing support for those facing difficulties especially at this time.
