“Uphold the cause of the poor and the oppressed” Psalm 82:3

We believe it is our responsibility as Jesus followers to care for those around us. At this particular time, as we face the Covid-19 crisis, there many opportunities to meet people’s needs.

Proverbs 14:31 says “When you’re kind to the poor you honour God” – what powerful words!

Our Social Action department seeks to practically share the love of Jesus, to offer hope to those facing difficulties, to show dignity to every person we come into contact with and to provide or point people towards ongoing support.

10th December

Being homeless is difficult enough, but the challenge of the winter months can be severe.

On Socks Sunday we will be collecting new pairs of socks (ideally thick or thermal) to donate to several local initiatives who are providing for the homeless at this time.

Bring your newly purchased socks (as many as you can) to our Sunday services on the 10th of December!

If you would like to help us stock up Store City, click on one of the shopping lists below to see the items that we need.

HOSTELS

We are going in every Wednesday morning to run a coffee morning for the residents in one of our local hostels to provide them with a sense of community. This is a great way for us to support the adults that are living in the hostel, plus their babies/ toddlers.
