Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question about faith and is designed to create conversation.
Alpha runs around the globe and everyone is welcome regardless of your views and you are encouraged to express them. Our next course will be held in person at the church building, starting Wednesday 26th April 2023. Refreshments will be provided.
The course runs for 8 weeks from 7.30-9pm and you would be most welcome. If you would like to join us, then please head over the alpha stand today or go to our website www.londonriversidechurch.com/courses to sign up.
CAP - Life Skills
CAP - Life Skills is a friendly group that gives people the confidence and decision making skills they need to survive life on a low income. We teach people practical money saving techniques, such as cooking on a budget, living healthily on less, and making your money go further. You are welcome to join our course that meets once a week for eight weeks.
The Hope Course
The HOPE grief support programme at London Riverside Church works in partnership with West & Coe, highly respected Funeral Directors in Barking & Dagenham and the South East, and initiators of this support service.
It runs over six weeks and aims to offer support, guidance and education to those who are going through the grieving process. The course evolved as a response to the distinct lack of grief support, knowledge and understanding of this process being offered by local services to people in the area. Referrals to join the course are received from West & Coe Funeral Directors, local doctors and health centres or by word of mouth from others who have attended the course.
The next course is starting on Wednesday the 19th April at 7pm
We know that being a parent can be both rewarding and challenging. Our courses are here to support you and help you build a strong and secure relationship with your child, whatever their age.
They include group discussions and practical tasks to help you build on your strengths and will give you time and space to think about any changes you want to make. A helpful, easy-to-read handbook is included with each course.
Our courses are run in community venues and are usually made up of six 2-hour sessions, each led by trained and experienced facilitators.
