tenacious

Tenacious Kidz is for children from Reception to Year 6 and runs every Sunday morning in conjunction with our adult meetings in the main hall. Registration opens 15 minutes before each service so that you are able to register your kids with ease.

As the kids arrive they enter The Fun Zone which hosts a number of different activities including football tournaments, crazy crafts, face painting, games and much, much more!

After registration closes at 9:05am, 10:50am or 12:35pm depending on which service you attend, we begin our main programme which consists of dance, drama, seriously wacky team games, storytelling, creative Bible teaching, group activities where the focus is on applying the week’s lesson and praise!  It’s an action-packed programme!

tenacious minikidz

Minikidz

Here in Tenacious Mini-Kidz we firmly believe that even the youngest child is able to experience the love of their heavenly Father hence babysitting is farthest from our minds as we welcome the smallest amongst us!

Our programme is designed to provide a safe and loving atmosphere where the children are able to learn about Jesus through hearing Bible stories, singing songs and learning actions, praying and playing together.

Tenacious Mini-Kidz is for children from 1 year old who are able to walk, up to Reception year. Registration opens at 8:40am - 9:00am for the first service, 10:20am - 10:45am for the second service and 12:05pm - 12:30pm for the third service. We highly recommend that you don't arrive too late as places are limited and we hate to disappoint!

Others may see a toddler, but we see the making of a spiritual giant - watch out world here they come!

Schools Work

Here in Tenacious we absolutely LOVE going into local schools, after all that’s where the children are!  We regularly visit a number of schools across the Borough of Barking and Dagenham and are always looking for new ways to build stronger links.

Currently we service our local schools by providing assemblies and PSHE lessons. We cater individually for each school’s needs by fitting into their curriculum and themes but are equally as happy to provide our own ideas!  Our assemblies have covered issues such as self-esteem, anti-bullying, caring for the community, helping others, doing your best, making the most of opportunities – you get the picture!

We are passionate about reaching the children in our town and always count it a privilege to serve the children, teachers and parents as much as we possibly can!

kidzmania

kidzmania

Every year we have a different theme at Kidz Mania, e.g. 2015: Lego, 2016: The Olympics. Everything that we do during the programme will be based around the theme for the week, including the games and the craft. For example, if the theme was “Lego”, then one of the craft activities may be for the children to make their own Legoman, and one of the games might be for them to build the tallest Lego tower.

Previous

This year we are looking at 5 superheroes and what we can learn from them.

There will be a whole host of fun activities. These will include: crafts, games, dramas, and a talkie based on a story from the Bible. As the children arrive they will be put into teams. They will stay in their teams throughout the whole week and, in every activity that they participate in, they will be given a chance to win points for their team! Each day when the children go home, they will be given a “Take Home Challenge” which they will be asked to do and bring back the next day.

tenacious goes wild

Tenacious Goes Wild is our kids' camp for all children in Year 3 – Year 6! TGW is going to be one of the best opportunities this year that your child will have to grow in their relationship with Jesus and build friendships with other children!

We believe that Tenacious Goes Wild is going to be a catalyst in every child's life, helping them to grow closer to Jesus. Your children will not want to miss out on this amazing opportunity, so if you have kids in Year 3 - Year 6 then we would really encourage you to bring them to TGW! They will love spending time with us on our crazy fun week away, with a mixture of workshops, small groups, main meetings and activities!

TGW 2020

Powerwave

Tenacious kids meet once a month on a Tuesday at 7:30pm for Powerwave our kids’ prayer programme.

During our time together the children will learn all about different aspects of prayer.  For example, how to pray and the power of prayer.  They then put what they have learnt into practice – boy can kids pray! Powerwave is always an incredibly faith-filled place to be and it is great to see our kids pray and really understand the power of prayer – how very exciting!

Next Gen

This programme will help us to train and disciple the Year 6’s as they journey through their last year in Primary School. Throughout the programme your child will gain a deeper understanding of God and the Bible; grow in their influence; develop better friendships with the other Year 6’s; learn about several different topics based around discipleship and leadership; and also may take more of a leadership role in small groups on a Sunday morning.

Future Gen

Future Gen. is our Year 3 - Year 6 serving programme. The programme will give them a foundation in serving and help them grow into the men and women of God that He is so eager for them to be.

Throughout the programme your child will gain a deeper understanding of what it is to serve God in Tenacious Kidz. They will have the opportunity to partake in a variety of different aspects of Tenacious, such as:

Welcoming kids into Tenacious

Stage management

AV/PA

Helping other kids

Leading the actions in praise & worship from the front

And so much more.
