Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and anyone is welcome. It runs in cafés, churches, universities, homes - you name it. No two Alphas look the same and during this time of social distancing we will be running Alpha online using Zoom. We will be running for one hour each week for eight weeks. If you would like to join us for our next Alpha course, then fill in the form below and we will message you back with more details.
If you entered your name and email, we will send you instructions to connect using Zoom. We will be starting at 8.00pm on Wednesday 20th May. We will begin with just getting to know each other for about ten minutes and introduce what the focus for the evening will be. We will then watch the Alpha film for that evening.
The Alpha films are 20 - 25 minutes long and each explores a particular aspect of Christianity. They are designed to stimulate thought around some of the big questions in life. You are free to agree or disagree with what is presented and express any opinion or question during the discussion.
Probably the most important part of any Alpha: the chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, and simply discuss it in a small group. There's no obligation to say anything and there's nothing you can't say (seriously). It's an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment. This will last about twenty minutes.
